Original and framed painting made with acrylic paint on a 20"x24" stretched canvas and completed it back in October 2019. Painting is a classic scene from the 1992 movie "The Last of the Mohicans" film staring Daniel Day Lewis, Wes Studi & Russel Means.
I got inspired by this scene by watching it on YouTube at the Diamond Mine where I work. I watched this movie numerous times before but something about this scene caught my eye. The intense stare down with one character triumphant in his battle and another character defeated and knowing his death is inevitable. This scene I’ve seen so many times never really thought to paint it but though this time it caught my eye. I thought to myself “That would make a great painting between these two characters onto canvas”. So i worked on it once I got home and took me 3 days of painting and this is the finished product and had it professionally framed. I got a-lot of compliments about this painting and is one of my favourite pieces of work I’ve done.
